WANTED – Corporate Charity Partners for Kicking Off

... I am involved with or raise awareness of the wonderful work these charities do. It’s a massive part of my life.

This may be a bit cheeky, but it’s the same cheek that’s helped me raise over £850,000 for the charities I support….so here we go…I’d like to appeal to you about joining me in supporting Kicking Off, as a Corporate Charity Partner. Here are a few things to consider :-

FACT: Sponsorship Makes You Feel Good

Donating releases the same organic chemical, dopamine, in the brain that triggers reward motivated feelings! I can vouch for this fact!!

Kicking Off is an amazing young and dynamic charity. We create epic football tournaments for up to 500 children each time but this is just the beginning. The magic of the programme is that whilst taking part the children are given a medical check ( we have now diagnosed and treated many cases of malaria ), a hot lunch, clean water and a goody bag containing essential hygiene equipment and basic stationery. Once established in a community we work longer term with trusted partners on the ground to provide ongoing support in areas such as medical aid, literacy, and clean water. We are running football tournaments quarterly in 3 different areas of Ghana and are now ready to extend our global reach. I’m proud to be a trustee.

Rolling My Sleeves Up And Getting Stuck In
This month I am back again to join the Kicking Off team to help with one of the next three tournaments. I went out to Ghana, to see firsthand the good Kicking Off do last year and it was inspiring. I can’t wait to return.

Through sponsorship and the dedication of the Kicking Off UK team, all of whom work completely voluntarily, we are now able to run more tournaments and further develop our relationship with partner charities on the ground.

Sponsorship Opportunities
As part of my role as Trustee, I am looking for businesses to become involved with Kicking Off through a number of different corporate sponsorship opportunities.

Just £1,500 Donation Secures Your Charity Partnership
Each tournament costs just £1,500 to host. Apart from an amazing day of fun and football, which attracts children from many miles away, this £1,500 provides a fresh meal, clean water and a medical check and treatment to the 500 children who participate. Could your business become a Kicking Off Corporate Sponsor and donate £1,500? You can have your name attached to the tournament and we will make sure you get social media coverage. You will also be free to publish the fact you have sponsored a tournament.

FACT:Sponsorship helps drive staff morale

Staff feel proud that they work for a company that goes over and above by supporting those less fortunate.

Many corporate sponsors use their partnerships to host charity fun days for staff – an opportunity to let their hair down and raise additional funds; building team spirits and drive. How about running your own sports tournament as a Kicking Off Fundraising event ?

It’s a fact that charity sponsorship engages customers – it gives you a way to engage with them, without the usual ‘hard sell’ marketing messages. It reinforces your ethics, conscientiousness and core values.

As well as looking for additional corporate tournament sponsors, we are always looking for one off donations too. Donations that could help us provide educational supplies to schools, the building of water boreholes, the supply of clean water filters to communities, for instance.

Goodie Bags & Football Kits
Does your company have anything it could donate for the tournament’s goodie bags, even the bags themselves ? Or perhaps it could provide the football socks or shin pads, for example?

Exposure For Your Business
In return, we’ll give your business exposurewithin our huge social media and online presence. This is intense during the tournaments and continues throughout the year. We can give you exclusive access to photosand feedback to use in your own marketing material. And we’re always open to ideas – if there’s something you’d like, just ask!
