The trip will be challenging, 10 days, and will incorporate the Aug bank holiday weekend so you can minimise annual leave time. The joining date is Friday 23rd August 2019 (this is the day you would need to arrive in either Inverness for our transfer to John O’Groats or Penzance for our transfer to Lands end…which way we’re going will depend on our numbers and will be confirmed shortly - 1st day’s cycling is Saturday 24th August)The leaving date is: Tuesday 3rd September 2019. (last day’s cycling Monday 2nd September).

This classic challenge ride is just over 1,000 miles and takes you all the way from the tip of Cornwall, through some of the most scenic areas of the United Kingdom, to the very top of the Scottish mainland (this ride is also known as ‘LEJOG’ or, when ridden in reverse, ‘JOGLE’).

We will be organising this trip with bike adventures, who have been organising both fully supported and independent LEJOG trips longer than any other company – over 14 years – and have helped hundreds of people to realise their dream of cycling the length of the UK.

Cost

The cost of the trip will be £1,500 and we have costed the trip on the basis of twin rooms in quality accommodation, you will only have to pay for lunch and evening meal ( max £30 a day ). This trip will be a fully supported cycling trip, which will include the provision of leader(s) and vehicular support for baggage transfers and to provide mechanical/medical support.  We would also like everyone to commit to supporting us by fundraising for Kicking Off, although we will not ask for any minimum amount. We can give you lots of help and support with fundraising ideas.
